Jacob, Joseph, Esau-
a Fire, a flame, and stubble
Hear the Revelation on these three;
AND their SPIRITUAL STATES;
One a fire
One a flame
One stubble
“whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son. And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; (for the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) it was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated....
What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: and that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?”

Understand the Prophetic Revelation of Jacob, Joseph and Esau;
1. Jacob
was a chosen people,
2. Joseph
was a chosen believer and a prophet,
3. Esau
was a carnal person who despised his birthright of “first born inheritor of God’s blessing”.
4. The fire
is God’s Holy Spirit, sent by promise to save, heal and deliver (Acts 1:8, 2)-as God did when He sent Moses to save Israel, by first appearing as a fire in the burning bush (Exodus 3), then Moses became God’s Flame of ministering fire to Egypt to save Jacob from men like Esau-(meaning natural or carnal), “God is no respecter of persons, whoever fears him and does righteousness is accepted” Acts 10-Peter to Cornelius)
5. The flame
is God’s specific focused fire for being a light and power to be God’s prophet or minister
“He makes his angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire” (Hebrews 1)
6. The stubble
is the hay after being cut down and specifically the left behind parts that are forsaken and useless, “from the dust it came and to the dust it returns” (Genesis3), this speaks of being carnal & only earthly minded, when judgement falls on nations it is like fire burning a field, only the stubble is left behind.
As for salvation and God’s power to minister on earth:
Jacob
- is filled with heaven
Joseph
- is filled with flames of ministry to act as God would
And Esau
- is left behind on earth and not accessing God’s power now nor making heaven for eternity.
Esau is a carnal person, who lived for his carnal/flesh appetite....
God said “Esau have I despised, because he despised his birthright, selling it to Jacob for a pot of lentil stew”
So The Spirit of God, who is a “tongue of fire” (Acts 2) is shifted from Esau, to Jacob
Because Esau hungered for this world’s appetite
Jacob hungered for righteousness and the Lord and was filled. (Matthew 5)
Jacob is a fire, meaning having the gift of the Holy Spirit sent on him. (Jacobs ladder with angels and access to the Lord)-an open heaven, as
God renamed Jacob, to Israel, after he wrestled with the Lord and God gave him his heavenly name “man who has wrestled and prevailed over men and God”)
this new name gave him new heavenly power, (Genesis 35:5) ““And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.”
Genesis 35:5 KJV
Joseph carried the “flame of fire”-the intensity of fire is its flames, the hottest parts of it.
for “He will bring judgement, for the prince of this world is judged” (John 16)
Acts 2- God poured out the fire on the Day of Pentecost, separating those of who had the faith of Abraham and those who had only the flesh
Hear it said in Hebrews 1:1-9
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, And his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: A sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.”
